JM CONSULTING
As an experienced international education consultant based in Paris, JM Consulting had been doing recruitment consulting for universities across Europe for years when it first encountered Edvance Education International and its study in China programmes in 2010. Not yet working with China as a study destination for its European clients, the decision to enter into a partnership with Edvance was not a difficult one to make.
“I taught in a French-Chinese executive MBA Programme in a university in Beijing for a while”, says Joy Martin, founder and director of JM Consulting. “My experience in China convinced me of the importance for European students to be able to study in China. But I also learned about the intricacies of working with Chinese universities.”
“It was immediately clear to me that Edvance is an authority on Chinese higher education. It is long established in China, holds in-depth market knowledge and developed unique relationships, and it provides exceptional high level Chinese education opportunities.”
Of particular interest to JM Consulting was the Contemporary China Studies Programme that Edvance offered in cooperation with Fudan University in Shanghai. ‘Fudan is one of China’s top-3 universities, it is extremely selective in choosing its international partners, including European schools. So, when an organization like Edvance is invited by them to set up an exclusive study programme to bring in more European students, you know you are dealing with very capable people who have the full trust of their Chinese partners. “
Ten years on, and scores of students from JM Consulting’s partner schools all over Europe have had the opportunity to discover China, thanks to Edvance’s study in China programmes. “Students particularly appreciate that these are full-service study abroad programmes, taught by outstanding professors”, says Joy Martin. “The internship programme that is part of the CCSP in Shanghai is often a highlight of their experience.”
“I am grateful for being part of this extraordinary adventure and look forward to continuing this long-lasting relationship with Robert and his team in China”, concludes Joy Martin. “As a matter of fact, I would not work with anyone else in China. “
